House Dream
PadA chain of two: a soft tone rings a modal body, and the body’s ring feeds live grains, so the pad keeps unfolding while you hold it.

MaxVRS Pro adds a second layer of synthesis: FM, drum engines, a singing voice, physical models and grains, and Excite, which lets any of them play another. Six Pro effects join the lanes. Hold a pad on this page to hear what it does.
Excite
In most synths an oscillator only makes sound. In MaxVRS Pro it can also be the hand that plays another instrument. Route any oscillator into a Resonator and it rings the string, tube or body in place of its own pluck, bow or strike. Route it into Grains and they record the last second of it live and scatter it into a cloud. Noise bows a string; a formant becomes a talking drum.
Rings in place of its own pluck, bow or strike. Several sources sum.
Records the last second of what it is sent, and scatters it: back, frozen, reversed.
A chain of two: a soft tone rings a modal body, and the body’s ring feeds live grains, so the pad keeps unfolding while you hold it.
Live grains record the supersaw as you play and scatter it, partly backwards, into a dreamy cloud. Macro 2 freezes it.
Noise rings a metal plate and a bell while a filter opens: a cymbal swell into the next beat, with no sample in sight.
Pink noise bows a string while a vintage cloud rings a metal plate an octave down: a dark, hypnotic drone.
Pro modules
Each one sits in an oscillator slot beside Wave Factory, Harmonic Cloud, Noise, Wavetable, Sample and Piano, and each can excite the next.
Six-operator FM synthesis with the shared Unison controls, for bells, electric pianos, metallic leads, and deep basses. Six algorithms, from three pairs to six carriers, on a routing graph you click.
Kick, Snare & Clap, and Hats & Metal engines with classic and modern models, shaped with Tune, Decay, Punch, Click, Drive, and Accent. DRUM ENV sets a one-shot envelope.
A pulse train through five vowel formants for voices, choirs, talking basses, and croaks, with Vowel, Size, Breath, and Jitter.
Physical models: plucked and bowed strings, tubes, and modal bodies from wood and bars to bells, glass, plates, and skins. PLUCK ENV lets each note ring down.
A cloud of short grains from a wavetable, a sample, or Live: the last second of what earlier oscillators play. Size, Density, Spray, Pitch Spray, Reverse, Scan, and Freeze.
Pro effects
Beside the fifteen effect types every MaxVRS has, in both effects lanes.
A tape machine: Drive, Wow, Flutter, Age, and Hiss that follows the signal, for warmth and drift.
Split a lane into low, mid, and high; each later effect can work on one band, with optional OTT-style compression per band.
Sympathetic resonance: up to six strings tuned to the held notes or a chord, or a modal body, ringing with the lane.
Grains of the lane’s last two seconds played back from a delay time: scattered, transposed, reversed, fed back, or frozen.
Tempo-synced stutters: a captured slice repeats with Decay, Pitch, and Reverse, on the host’s bars or from each note you play, with Hold for live rolls.
Bring hits forward or push them back at any level: Attack and Sustain up or down, Time, and Output.
Availability
We are putting the finishing touches to Pro. Until then, hear it here, on the preset pads and in the stems.
We are looking for plug-in stores and distributors to offer MaxVRS Pro. If you run one and like what you hear, we would love to talk.
